The Cravens office were all beaming with pride yesterday as we saw two of our very own team throw on their trainers and rise to the challenge of the Great North Run.
The 13.1 mile race, based in Newcastle, saw 57,000 runners take part for the event’s 35th year with our Business Director Melanie Schouw and Designer Lisa Pybus being among the crowds.
This was Mel’s first time running the event, very bravely taking up the mantle last minute with no training. Whilst for veteran Lisa, this year saw her run for the third time, though her last was 10 years ago. Although both nervous for what the day would bring they came out the other end smiling having completed such a gruelling challenge.
We are all extremely proud of how well they both did, with today’s aches and pains in the office reflecting all the hard work they put in. They’ve done so well they have even become a Cravens inspiration, with a few others in the office saying they may train for 2016’s event.
